The 2019 EFES EuroLeague Dance Challenge

Game Rules

The EFES EuroLeague Dance Challenge (the “Contest”) will reward the most supported Entertainment Squad with the chance to dance at the Final Four 2019. In this sense, fans all over the globe, an internal jury of EFES and, in the event of a tie, the Entertainment Squads themselves, will decide which Entertainment Squad candidate shall have the opportunity to be in Vitoria this coming May 2019.

Start playing

All fans visiting the @euroleague Instagram account can take part in the Contest. The Contest application works so that an Instagram Story Poll related to the Entertainment Squads will be posted on specific dates and timings as specified in the "What is the Contest mechanic" section.

Fans can vote one time per Instagram Story Poll and votes can be submitted at any time while the Instagram Story is available (i.e. twenty-four hours from the moment the Instagram Story is posted).

Fans can start participating at any time and is not necessary having voted in previous Instagram Story Polls.

The Contest shall have a duration of a total of five (5) rounds according to specific dates as established herein. Therefore, the first Instagram Story Poll of the Contest will be posted on Tuesday February 5th at around 12:00 CET and the last one (i.e., the final) will be posted on Tuesday February 26th at 12:00 CET.

What is the voting mechanism?

The voting of the fans will be carried out in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Official Instagram (@euroleague). Specifically, in the Instagram Story post.

Voting will take place on Instagram Stories, using the poll feature. An Instagram story poll will be posted on the specified dates (as established below) providing a poll feature for fans to vote between two different Entertainment Squads. Each Instagram Story Poll shall be also referred herein to as a “Battle”.

An internal jury of EFES composed of six independent members will evaluate each participating Entertainment Squad in order to elaborate a ranking from 1 to 4 before the beginning of the Contest, where the best squad in its opinion will be ranked as the 1st, and the squad with less support will be ranked in the 4th position.

Said ranking will only be taken into consideration in the Final according to what is established in the Contest mechanic.

The Entertainment Squads will also be required to vote, before the beginning of the Contest, among the other different Entertainment Squads participating in the Contest, in order to establish a ranking from 1 to 3, where the best squad in its opinion will be ranked as the 1st and the squad with less support will be ranked in the 3rd position. Entertainment Squads are not allowed to vote for themselves. Said ranking will only be taken into consideration in the event of a tie in the Final and will operate as a casting vote according to what is established in the Contest mechanic.

What is the Contest mechanic?

During Regular Phase and Semi-Finals: fans will vote on each Instagram Story Poll in order to decide the winner of each Battle. The Entertainment Squad that obtains more votes in the Instagram Story Poll will be the winner of said Battle.

For the Final Battle: best of three points, which will be counted and considered as follows:

- One vote will result from the outcome of the Instagram Story Poll launched for the Final: the most voted squad on the Final Instagram Story Poll will obtain one vote.

- One vote will result from the ranking elaborated by the EFES internal jury: the Entertainment Squad participating in the Final that was ranked in a higher position in the ranking elaborated by the internal jury, will obtain one vote.

- Only in the event of a tie, the raking elaborated by the Entertainment Squads before the beginning of the Contest will be taken into account, operating as a casting vote: the Entertainment Squad participating in the Final that was ranked in a higher position in the ranking elaborated as a result of the votes of all Contest participating squads, will be the winner.
